Connected:disconnected (2) is an entertaining theatrical Live Art study of the connections and disconnections we experience on multiple levels in our lives: personal, social, digital, political, and spiritual.
Originally developed as a single project, connected:disconnected, the work bifurcated after an interesting period of work with Sandra Löwe of Sprachhaus M in Basel, Switzerland. As a result there are now two separate, yet connected, projects that are being developed.
We use the actor’s physical expression and dynamics of movement, juxtaposed with intimate personal confessions, to create the shows language. We play with a plethora of mixed media: video, sound loops, text, interactive lighting and mirrors, to create an immersive, accessible and thoughtful visual poem exploring the themes of connection and disconnection.
We are documenting the research and development of connected:disconnected (2) on line, including videos of the process. To see this, please visit the website.
